Welcome to Hydrated Humans.
It’s a look at how people in Trevi’s community fuel performance, build routines, and show up fully in life.
Meet Nick Dyer—owner of Dyer Creative Media, CrossFit gym owner, husband, and dad of three. Nick and his wife Reagan are the faves behind the lens of most of our imagery. They are truly Team Trevi.
Nick’s days start early and stay full—training in his gym, then shifting into long days behind the camera.
But whether it’s a shoot or a workout, the mindset stays the same:
No shortcuts. No panic. Just do the work.
For Nick, hydration is part of that system. A stick of Trevi Sport after every session—earned, not given.
Keep going, Nick! 🏋️

Welcome to Hydrated Humans.

Meet Emily Marks, a Doctor of Occupational Therapy student finishing her final semester at USC. Between early mornings at her neurorehabilitation clinical site, workouts, classes, and content creation, Emily’s days are full—and every hour counts.
What drew Emily to occupational therapy is its holistic approach to helping people regain independence and reconnect with the activities that matter most to them. Whether recovery involves physical, cognitive, emotional, or environmental challenges, OT is about expanding what people believe is possible after life-changing diagnoses.
For Emily, hydration is a small but important part of staying energized through long clinic days and post-run recovery. Trevi fits right into the rhythm—simple, convenient, and a little reward after putting in the work.
As she prepares to graduate and begin her career as an occupational therapist, Emily is motivated by one thing: using what she’s learned to make the world more accessible and supportive for people of all abilities.
Go get ’em, Emily 💧
Give us the quick intro—who are you and what do you spend most of your time on?
I'm Nick, owner of Dyer Creative Media. I spend most of my time shooting, editing, and delivering commercial and brand content for clients: video production, post-production, and product photography. When I'm not behind a camera, I'm either training in my home gym or hanging with my three kiddos.
How did you end up balancing both creative work and owning part of a CrossFit gym?
I wear a lot of hats, but honestly they feed each other more than they compete. Most of the content I produce is fitness-related, so blending both worlds comes pretty naturally at this point.
Why Others Taste Like Saltwater
What does a typical day look like for you right now?
Varied, but full. It starts with early morning training and family time, then shifts into client work. Whether that's a shoot day, post-production, or planning for a product release, there's rarely a dull moment.
What’s one part of your routine you refuse to skip?
My morning pour over coffee. It takes a little longer than just hitting a button, but I've found that starting my day with a small act of delayed gratification sets the tone for everything that follows.
What does “performing at your best” mean to you?
It means delivering work that exceeds expectation. The color is right, the cut is tight, and the client walks away with content that returns real value. Anything short of that isn't my best.
How has CrossFit shaped the way you approach your work—or vice versa?
CrossFit has shaped my mindset across the board, but especially in how I approach work. It's taught me that discomfort is just part of the process. Tight deadlines, talent no-showing, technical problems at the worst possible moment. You learn not to panic. You just work through it.
When you’re in the middle of something hard, what keeps you going?
Quitting is never an option. I'd rather grind through something difficult than hand off work I'm not proud of.
When did you realize the process matters more than the result?
Pretty early on, honestly. Shortcuts are only good for temporary gain. Real, lasting quality is defined by the process. Without it, you have nothing to stand on.
Where does hydration or nutrition fit into your routine?
They're the infrastructure of my life. I'm not immune to the occasional pizza, but I make a conscious effort to fuel well and stay hydrated. I try to hit my macros daily and drink half my bodyweight in ounces of water. After every training session, I have a protein shake with creatine and a stick of Trevi Sport.
